1st annual carboard regatta

We are thrilled to announce the 1st Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, proudly hosted by the Standish Fish and Game Club and Standish Kiwanis Club! This exciting, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kiwanis Beach on Watchic Lake in Standish, Maine.

The Cardboard Boat Regatta invites participants of all ages to build and race boats made entirely out of cardboard.  It promises to be a day full of creativity, laughter, team building, and community spirit. Along with the races, the event will feature food and fun at the beach for the whole family.

How You Can Help:

  • Participate: Gather a team, design a cardboard boat, and join the race! There will be categories for businesses, civic organizations, and friends and family.
  • Donate: Contributions of any kind—monetary donations, gift cards, raffle prizes, or in-kind items—are greatly appreciated and will help cover event costs and prizes.
  • Sponsor: We are offering sponsorship opportunities  for local businesses, including name/logo placement on banners, t-shirts, and promotional materials.

Your support will help us ensure this event is both memorable, fun, and impactful, fostering community engagement while supporting the continued efforts of the Standish Fish and Game Club in promoting outdoor education and conservation.

If you’re interested in participating or donating, please contact us at 207-523-0821 or standishfishandgameclub@gmail.com. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
